Bayern Hope to Avoid 'Bitter' End as Spoilers Stuttgart Await in German Cup
Bayern have won the German Cup 20 times and could complete a record 14th double if they beat defending champions Stuttgart.
On Saturday, Bayern Munich faces defending champions VfB Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal final at Berlin's Olympiastadion, seeking to complete a domestic double for the 14th time in club history.
Bayern dominated the Bundesliga, finishing 16 points clear of Borussia Dortmund with a record 122 goals in 34 matches, while Stuttgart finished fourth, 27 points behind the league champions.
Star striker Harry Kane tallied 58 goals this season, while playmaker Michael Olise provided 15 goals and 19 assists; Bayern defeated Stuttgart three times this season by a combined 11 goals to three.
Seeking their first German Cup title in six years, Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen said, "We really want to win that again because it's painful for us that we haven't won the cup for six years."
Stuttgart striker Deniz Undav acknowledged Bayern's dominance, stating "there's one clear favourite and that's Bayern," while DraftKings Sportsbook lists Bayern as-310 favorites to win in regulation time.
Record winner Bayern Munich and defending champion VfB Stuttgart will determine the DFB Cup winner on Saturday. The Berlin Final also has an influence on a third team and the start of the 2026/27 season.
