Fontaines D.C. Release New Song with Rosalía
The duet is Fontaines D.C.'s first outside collaboration and appears on their fifth album, which arrives Friday.
- Fontaines D.C. released "Where Is Gone?" on Monday, marking their first collaboration with an outside artist on the track featuring Spanish star Rosalía, set to appear on their fifth album Dopamine Chamber arriving Friday.
- Guitarist Carlos OConnell, born in Madrid with Irish and Spanish heritage, spearheaded the partnership after admiring Rosalía's commitment to preserving Spanish musical traditions, which he felt paralleled Fontaines' own relationship with Irish music.
- Frontman Grian Chatten called the collaboration "humbling" and a career high, praising Rosalía as an incredible arranger and composer. The track features an orchestral crescendo, building on the brooding atmosphere of recent singles Marianne and Tongue.
- Dopamine Chamber arrives Friday, October 16, following the band's 2024 album Romance. The group has also performed unreleased cuts "Happy for You" and "Six Shot Morning" at recent live shows.
- Rosalía, 34, recently performed on Saturday Night Live with songs from her 2025 album Lux. Fontaines D.C. will headline stadium shows across the U.K. and Ireland next summer, including Slane Castle in their native Ireland.
