Florida changes driver license, ID card renewal rules

The state of Florida has announced important changes to issuance and renewal of Florida driver licenses and identification cards for non-immigrant individuals.

The Miami-Dade Tax Collector's office reported this Friday that all driver's licenses and identification cards issued to non-immigrants will be valid only until the expiration date that is contained in the applicant's U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) documentation, not exceeding one year.
