A child has died after drowning in a swimming pool at a hotel in the Audangawa area of the Sigiriya Police Division yesterday (08). The deceased is a 5-year-old child residing in the Wadalugama, Kelaniya area. The police stated that the investigation revealed that the child had met with this accident while swimming in the swimming pool with his parents. The body has been taken to the Dambulla Hospital.
