Five arrested after brazen alleged kidnapping
Police say the victim suffered facial injuries and was taken to hospital in stable condition after the alleged abduction.
- On Monday at 11.30pm, bodyguard Emilio Chalhoub was allegedly assaulted and abducted from his home in Guildford by a group of men; Chalhoub works for rapper Ali Younes, who has links to the Alameddine crime network.
- The incident follows a renewal of Sydney gangland conflicts, occurring one month after NSW Police established Taskforce Falcon to address organized crime; last June, Chalhoub's father, Bassam, was injured in a botched home invasion.
- Police located the victim in Casula at 12.30am on Tuesday with facial injuries, while his Ford Ranger was found partially burnt out five kilometres away in Villawood; Locals reported seeing him "bashed" with a baseball bat.
- Five men were arrested near Kane Place in Casula, a cul-de-sac by the Hume Highway, and transported to Liverpool Police Station for questioning; charges remain pending as investigations continue.
- The victim remains in stable condition at a hospital as authorities continue investigating the targeted attack and potential involvement of the Alameddine syndicate in the abduction.
