Fitbit Edge vs Fitbit Air: Which health features do you actually get?
The $80 pricier Edge adds built-in GPS and on-wrist ECG, while the Air keeps most core health tracking and better sleep comfort.
The $179.99 Fitbit Edge is a fitness tracker with a 1.34-inch AMOLED display, built-in GPS, an altimeter, health sensors, and support for Android and iOS.
Compared with the screenless Fitbit Air, the Edge lets users view workout data, notifications, watch faces, and other information on their wrist.
The Edge tracks workouts, sleep, heart rate, blood oxygen, skin temperature, ECG readings, and more than 50 exercise modes, though some heart-rate readings took time to settle during testing.
The Fitbit Air offers longer battery life and a lower price, while the Edge provides a display and GPS.
