FirstBank appeals court ruling, seeks injunction in cargo dispute

FirstBank has filed an appeal against a Federal High Court ruling that dismissed its maritime claim, reclassifying the case as a simple debt recovery matter.  The court also declared that the arrest order on crude oil cargo aboard the FPSO Tamara Tokoni had expired after 14 days.   FirstBank, contesting the decision, argues that the ruling overlooks efforts to prevent alleged fraudulent crude oil sales.
