For the first time, shops in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht were allowed to open their doors on Sunday. Last Thursday, the municipal council decided by a narrow majority to officially introduce Sunday shopping. However, the expected large turnout at the De Schoof shopping center failed to materialize. Only Jumbo and phone shop Fixphone opened their doors there today.
