ROYAL CARIBBEAN'S HERO OF THE SEAS INTRODUCES THE NEXT EVOLUTION OF FAMILY VACATION EXPERIENCES
Hero of the Seas debuts with the most pools at sea, 28 dining venues, and expanded family and adult amenities to enhance vacation experiences, Royal Caribbean says.
- On March 30, Royal Caribbean announced Hero of the Seas, the newest Icon-class ship debuting in August 2027 from Miami. The 248,663-gross-ton vessel will accommodate 5,654 guests and feature nine pools and 28 dining venues.
- Royal Caribbean CEO Michael Bayley said the ship "takes that vision even further" by offering "more water, more thrills and more choices for all ages." Hero builds on the Icon Class standard established by predecessor ships.
- New features include Coconut Cove, a pool situated near The Lime and Coconut bar, and the Orleans Parish Supper Club offering a "multi-course dining venue with live jazz, craft cocktails, and gourmet Cajun and Creole dishes."
- Accommodations include the three-deck Ultimate Family Treehouse with a rooftop terrace and private whirlpool. Crown & Anchor Society members can book beginning April 1, with general public sales opening April 2.
- The ship will offer 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries visiting Perfect Day at CocoCay. In August 2027, Icon of the Seas will relocate to Galveston to accommodate Hero's Miami arrival.
