Fire displaces up to 30 at Bangor apartment complex

As many as 30 people were displaced Friday night after a fire broke out at Bangor Efficiency Apartments on Hammond Street. Firefighters responded to 513 Hammond St. at 10:01 p.m. and found fire showing from a second-floor apartment. The call was quickly upgraded to a second alarm due to the bitter cold temperatures.
