Finland sees first hot day of the year in Ylivieska
Finland recorded its first hot day of the year on Saturday, as temperatures reached 25.2 degrees Celsius in Ylivieska, Northern Ostrobothnia. Meteorologist Aleksi Lohtander from Yle confirmed that the 25-degree mark was passed just before 5pm at Ylivieska Airport. The temperature surpasses Finland’s official threshold for a “hot day”, known locally as a hellepäivä.
