Final voting for B.C. election is today
Voters will choose MLAs in 93 ridings as polls open at 8 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., local time.
Today, Oct. 24, marks the final voting day for British Columbia's provincial election, with polls open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. as voters elect MLAs in 93 ridings across the province.
NDP Leader David Eby called the snap election on Sept. 22 after turmoil in the Conservative Party led Kerry-Lynne Findlay to resign as leader, though Lorne Doerkson's appointment as interim leader has since restored Conservatives unity.
Five main parties are competing for seats: the NDP, the Conservative Party, the Green Party, CentreBC, and OneBC, alongside a handful of independent candidates and representatives from smaller parties.
Voters can visit designated Voting Place locations across the province today to cast their ballots, with a comprehensive list of final voting day sites available online for British Columbians.
Polls close at 8 p.m. tonight, concluding the election process and allowing results to determine the legislature's composition for the next term in British Columbia.
