Fico: Opposition and Media to Blame for Assassination, I Do Not Rule Out Another Attack

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said today that the atmosphere in Slovak society is increasingly tense and that he does not rule out a new attack on him, following the assassination attempt on May 15 last year, in which he suffered serious, life-threatening injuries.

He described his relationship with the president as normal.

Prime Minister Robert Fico said on the first anniversary of the assassination attempt on him that Slovakia is very close to another attack on a public official. He claims that he is relying on the investigation of the secret services at his government's disposal. He also said that Slovakia is at risk of a societal conflict due to the opposition.
