Feeding wildlife is illegal, no matter the menu

MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA, JUL 30 – Arizona counties with populations over 280,000 enforce fines up to $300 to prevent illegal wildlife feeding and maintain park cleanliness, with 92 reports since 2024, officials said.

Some people feed wildlife because they believe it helps the animals survive. Others want to attract them because they’re cute. Still others think it’s a good way to dispose of dead pigeons they’ve killed.
