- Destructive storms on Tuesday night shifted the Western Balkans from heatwaves to severe weather. In Skopje, North Macedonia, 11 people were hospitalized after heavy hail and winds felled trees, damaged roofs, and caused widespread power outages.
- A marked cooldown is expected from Friday, with temperatures dropping sharply on Saturday to near-average levels. However, intense heat could return across much of Spain early next week, continuing the summer's extreme weather pattern.
