Expo Visitors Exceed 3 Million; Opening Day Was the Highest Number in a Single Day (Kyodo News)

The Japan Association for the International Exposition announced on the 17th that the total number of general visitors to the Osaka-Kansai Expo (preliminary figures) reached 3,039,000 as of the 16th, exceeding the 3 million mark. The highest daily attendance to date was 124,000 on the opening day of April 13th. The association said that a total of 2,000 people had come to the Expo 2070 in the past.
