A former Atlantic City elected official was indicted by a grand jury on witness tampering charges brought on by a confrontation during a legal challenge to his eligibility as a councilman.Muhammad Zia, 51, of Egg Harbor Township, was also indicted on third-degree terroristic threat accusations, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said.
