Ewan McGregor to Receive Bafta Scotland Award
Ewan McGregor will be honoured for his three decades of acting and charity work with BAFTA Scotland’s highest accolade at the November 16 ceremony.
- BAFTA Scotland announced that Ewan McGregor will receive the Outstanding Contribution to Film and Television award at the Glasgow ceremony on Sunday November 16, 2025.
- The actor's prior honours include BAFTA Scotland awards for Trainspotting and Young Adam, a 2017 nomination for T2: Trainspotting, an OBE in 2012, and a 2024 Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
- BAFTA Scotland noted `Ewan McGregor has amassed an impressive list of film credits across his now over three decade-long career`, and McGregor responded, `It’s so lovely to be thought of for this year’s Bafta Scotland special award`.
- BAFTA Scotland expects to celebrate McGregor alongside nominees including Ashley Jensen, Richard Rankin, Ncuti Gatwa, David Tennant, James McAvoy, Peter Capaldi, Karen Gillan and Tilda Swinton, with Jude MacLaverty saying the organisation is delighted to present McGregor with its outstanding contribution award.
