'Everybody Loves Raymond' to Have 30th Anniversary Reunion Special

The 90-minute special features cast reunions, unseen outtakes, and tributes to late stars, celebrating the show's 15 Emmy wins and lasting impact on American TV comedy.

  • On Nov. 24, CBS will air a 90-minute Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Special at 8 p.m. ET, hosted by Ray Romano and Phil Rosenthal and filmed on a Barone family living room soundstage.
  • CBS is calling it a 30th anniversary special even though the series premiered September 13, 1996, making this year the 29th anniversary and following the finale from May 16, 2005.
  • Surviving castmembers will take part, including Brad Garrett, Patricia Heaton, Monica Horan, Madylin Sweeten and Sullivan Sweeten, with Fulwell Entertainment producing and Romano and Rosenthal as executive producers.
  • The reunion will feature tributes to Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle, and producers say the deaths of Boyle, Roberts, and Sawyer Sweeten have reduced interest in a revival.
  • The series' awards and ratings help explain the reunion's pull, as Everybody Loves Raymond won 15 Emmys from 69 nominations over nine seasons and its finale drew nearly 33 million viewers.
