Stefanos Tsitsipas Hires Novak Djokovic’s Former Coach

Stefanos Tsitsipas, a 26-year-old Greek player, lost in the second round of the 2025 French Open in Paris to qualifier Matteo Gigante on May 29.
Following disappointing recent Grand Slam results and a drop toward world number 20, Tsitsipas decided to change coaches and hired Goran Ivanisevic on Thursday.
Ivanisevic, a 53-year-old Croatian former Wimbledon champion, coached Novak Djokovic between 2019 and early 2024, during which time he played a key role in helping Djokovic secure nine of his 24 Grand Slam titles.
Tsitsipas shared on Instagram a statement from Iconico Talent Agency announcing their new partnership, timing it to help enhance his performance ahead of the 2025 grass court season.
The duo will debut at the Halle tournament starting June 30 as Tsitsipas seeks to regain form and pursue his first Grand Slam title amidst career challenges.
