The foreign ministers of Germany, France and Great Britain, as well as the EU's high representative for foreign affairs, called on Tehran to continue talks with the United States on its nuclear program after talks with their Iranian counterparts in Geneva today. They said it was important that the situation in the Middle East did not escalate further, foreign news agencies reported.
The first direct talks between European foreign ministers and Tehran since the outbreak of the military conflict between Israel and Iran have brought hope for continued dialogue, although without signs of immediate and concrete progress, TASR reports.
