The European Union applies new rules for paid political advertising. Election ads will have to be marked clearly, and the platforms are obliged to disclose who finance them and what amounts have been paid. The measure aims to increase transparency and prevent foreign influence in the elections, but companies like Meta and Google have already announced major restrictions in Europe.
