It is an unusual process: an EU authority recommends banning 10,000 chemicals, the so-called PFAS. But experts from the same house disagree, and the economy is not happy with either of the two reports.
A European ban on the production, use, and sale of PFAS must be pursued, with "appropriate exceptions." This is the plea of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in an opinion.
