Brussels has decided to impose new customs duties on Chinese tires, or manufactured in China. These will rise from 4.5 to 45.3%, according to the brands. The European Union had conducted a survey on Chinese tires, and the brands that have collaborated the most are those that have seen their tariffs increase the least. The aim is to favour European manufacturers.
India extends anti-dumping duty on seamless tubes, pipes till Jan 2027
India has extended anti-dumping duties on certain Chinese tubes and pipes. This measure will protect domestic manufacturers from cheap inbound shipments until January 2027. The government also continues anti-dumping duties on Normal Butanol imports. These duties apply to products exported from Malaysia, South Africa, and the United States. Anti-dumping measures ensure fair trade and a level playing field for domestic industries.
Considers that the dumped imports - the sale of large volumes of goods in a foreign country at prices below the cost of domestic production - have caused a "significant injury" to European industry
