ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WNCT) -- On Aug. 7th, 2023, the Elizabeth City Police Department officers responded to the 200 Block of North Poindexter St. near East Colonial Avenue in reference to shots being fired. Upon arriving on the scene, officers discovered 2 businesses damaged, a damaged vehicle, and several shell casings found. On Tues.
