Owners of electric cars, hybrids, hydrogen cars and other alternative fuel vehicles should pay the same price for a highway vignette as drivers of conventional petrol and diesel cars starting next year. This is envisaged in the amendment to the Roads Act, which the Ministry of Transport has sent for comment.
Prague - The amendment to the Roads Act, which abolishes the valorization mechanism of highway vignettes and sets a uniform annual vignette rate for all cars regardless of the type of drive at 2,570 crowns, is in the interdepartmental comment process. The Ministry of Transport is aiming to introduce a uniform rate from 2027. This follows from the submission report and the wording of the Ministry of Transport's proposal.
