Since the beginning of the long May weekend, the Tatra National Park has introduced an innovative solution for tourists heading to the area of Morskie Oko. Electric buses have appeared on this picturesque route – an initiative that was created in response to many years of appeals from ecologists and animal rights activists. However, it is not cheap, because prices reach PLN 100.

The first electric bus running on the route from Zakopane to Morskie Oko started on Thursday. There were no takers for the ride. They showed up when a second identical vehicle headed towards the Tatra lake, but starting from Palenica Białczańska. The price of a ride in an "electric" bus is, depending on the starting point, from PLN 60 to PLN 100 one way.
