[Opinion] European elections: how transparently did Slovenian parties run their campaigns?

How much did Slovenian political parties spend on the European elections and how transparently did they run their campaigns? Only three parties are completely free of errors, and one even earned a negative opinion from the Court of Auditors, as it ended the campaign in the red. Campaign costs almost doubled compared to the 2019 elections.

The Court of Auditors has given a positive opinion to four campaign organizers ahead of last year's EU elections. Four parties received a qualified opinion and one a negative opinion. The parties spent a total of 1,281,478 euros on campaign costs, 89 percent more than in 2019.
