The May audience figures have given El País a boost, having been stuck at the bottom of the rankings of the most-read digital newspapers compiled by the GfK Dam digital news meter for months. According to the May data, and in terms of unique users, Prisa's publication occupies fifth place, behind El Español—the undisputed leader—20 Minutos, ABC, and El Mundo.
