The 14-year-old skater who was proclaimed last Sunday World Cup champion in the park mode, Egoitz Bijueska, has returned home after leaving his name high in the World Cup held in Ostia, Italy. Far from settling for this impressive achievement, the young promise already looks to the future with ambition and determination: “My long-term goal is to get qualified for the 2028 Olympic Games and win the gold medal.”
The skateboarding will be in Los Angeles 2028 Olympic discipline—he was already in Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 as a guest sport—and Spain already has a medal candidate. 14-year-old Bilbain Egoitz Bijueska proclaimed himself a world champion in the first round of the skatepark World Cup (a Tour test) held in Ostia (Rome) this weekend. He did so with a final score of 94.5 points. An impressive record, but worse than the one he achieved in semifinals…
