Rabbi Shalom Mashash was born in Meknes, Morocco, on February 13, 1909, in the Thirteenth Tribe. He was named after his grandfather, Rabbi Shalom Mashash, who served as rabbi and dayan in Meknes and was the holder of the “Dabri Shalom” responsa.
