The judgment concerning the flagship of French steel in judicial reform must be announced in the morning by the judicial court in Strasbourg. The minister responsible for industry declared that he would "apply to the courts" against the investment fund which had taken over the metallurgical company in 2024, without fulfilling its commitments.
The industry sector is boiling with the threat of liquidation of the company Novasco. The Minister of Industry has decided to bring the Greybull Fund before the courts. Nearly 500 jobs are at stake.
The French government is suing the investment fund Greybull, which it describes as a "rogue" reprehensible and accuses of failing to meet its financial commitments.
Sébastien Martin, the new minister in charge of industry, promises to "be vigilant" about the future successor.
Paris initiated proceedings against the British fund, which was found to be responsible for the industrial and social impasse in which the steelmaker was recovering.
Deputy Minister responsible for Industry, Sébastien Martin, said he was going to "apply to the courts" against the Greybull investment fund, while justice was due to rule on Novasco's future this Monday.
