CVS Making Measles Vaccines Available Across Pennsylvania

CVS is making measles vaccines available across Pennsylvania.  The move is in response to positive cases that were reported out of Erie County.  People age 18 and older can get their vaccine at CVS Pharmacy locations and children age four to six can get their second doses at the company’s MinuteClinics.  Measles infections have been reported in a number of states in recent weeks.

On Monday morning, the State Health Secretariat announced that the first case of measles was detected in the city, from the outbreak that began at the end of January, in the South Plaines region, Texas. The most recent update mentions that the state has reached the 121 cases detected: 71 of them in Cuauhtémoc, 14 in Chihuahua, 12 in Riva Palacio, 10 in Ahumada, 8 in Nammiquipa and 1 case in each of the municipalities of Juárez, Buenaventura, Cus…
