Eastpointe woman apologizes for killing husband despite his treatment of her

Carletta D. Johnson, 43, was ordered to serve eight years for second-degree murder and two years for felony firearm possession in the shooting death of her husband. Johnson said she feared for her life and believed James Patmon was going to pull out a gun and shoot her so in defense she fired a bullet into the back of the head. She said Patmon had physically, emotionally and financially abused her for the past few years through affairs.
