In Washington, the United States is pushing for a meeting between the Congolese and Rwandan presidents before the end of the month. A summit that should lead to the signing of a final agreement, but also to other texts with economic scope, according to Donald Trump. The Catholic Church, for its part, denounces a form of transaction: peace against minerals.
The Congolese authorities and the M23 rebels are back in Doha for a new and perhaps final session of discussions. For the first time, Congolese and Rwandan ministers are also present.
