A driver and two young children were burned alive near the German town of Schwerte near Dortmund on Sunday after their Tesla crashed into a tree while overtaking. Although a local citizen tried unsuccessfully to extinguish the electric car, he could only watch the horrific scene as three people died trapped in the car.
