Blue Bombers Rally to Beat Winless Redblacks 36-34 in Overtime

- On Sunday night, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers defeated the Ottawa Redblacks 36-34 in overtime before 14,148 fans at TD Place, improving to 4-2 while Ottawa fell to 0-6.
- Quarterback Dru Brown engineered a fourth-quarter comeback erasing a 26-12 deficit; Brown, who spent two seasons in Ottawa before being traded last month, finished with 317 yards and two touchdowns.
- Brown found Gavin Cobb for a two-point conversion in the new CFL overtime format after Redha Kramdi batted down Ottawa's final pass attempt. "It is cool to have that moment," Cobb said.
- Ottawa head coach Ryan Dinwiddie acknowledged the team's struggles after the loss. "We're in a win-loss result business and we're rebuilding it a bit," Dinwiddie said.
- The Blue Bombers host the Calgary Stampeders on Friday, July 24, while the Redblacks face the East Division-leading Montreal Alouettes on July 31.
