Britain says it developed and test-fired a futuristic laser cannon that can shoot drones out of the sky
The UK Army and Royal Navy are considering using laser technology as part of their future air defense capabilities.
The DragonFire laser system, which can hit a 1 coin from a kilometer away, has been successfully fired at aerial targets during a trial in northwest Scotland.
The development of laser weapons could reduce reliance on expensive ammunition, lower the risk of collateral damage, and provide pinpoint accuracy for destroying drones.
