Being the victim of a burglary can have far-reaching consequences for the individual, but in Sweden 96 percent of the more than 10,000 annual residential burglaries remain unsolved – and the majority of these are committed by serial burglars. Therefore, we propose ankle shackles for repeat burglars, which make it difficult for them to commit crimes in peace and quiet, writes representatives of Villaägarna.
