With the DC Council scheduled to take an initial vote on the fiscal year 2026 budget next Monday, Chair Phil Mendelson hinted at an administrative meeting this morning that it’s unlikely he’ll be able to identify available funds to restore many of the priority projects identified by lawmakers during initial deliberations.
