What products of the brands of distributors are concerned? The survey of 60 million consumers looked closely at the food products of six major French brands: Auchan, Carrefour, Intermarché, E. Leclerc, Lidl, and Coopérative U. This large sample, comprising between 3,000 and 6,000 references, was analysed, thanks to the Open Food Facts database (scanned in 2023), to reveal the composition of these articles, which are so popular for their low cost.
