Russia has captured two villages in Ukraine, RIA reports

Russian forces captured two villages in eastern Ukraine - Novopil in Donetsk region and Vodolagy in Sumy regio

In the Russian war against Ukraine, the fighting continues regardless of diplomatic efforts for a ceasefire.

Russia announced today that it captured another village in the Ukrainian region of Sumy, where Kiev fears that Russia is preparing a major attack, and ordered an evacuation.

Moscow, for its part, claimed the capture of the village of Vodolahy, in the same region. The Russian Ministry of Defence also said that it had taken possession of a village in the Donetsk region, in the east, Novopil.

The Russian army has captured the settlement of Novopil in the Donetsk region and Vodolahi in the Sumy region in the war in Ukraine, and has also destroyed two American-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket launchers with an Iskander missile strike in the latter region, the Russian Defense Ministry announced on Saturday.

Russia claimed on Saturday the capture of a new village in the Ukrainian region of Sumy, where Kiev fears a massive assault and has just ordered further evacuations.
