Despite Teton Dam Disaster, Rexburg held 4th of July parade in 1976
The community improvised floats and held fireworks after floodwaters devastated much of the city, and organizers said the parade was needed as a morale boost.
Despite the June 5, 1976, Teton Dam breaking sending billions of gallons of water Rexburg’s direction and devastating much of the city, residents there still held their annual 4th of July parade.
