Despite the smartphone ban at school, young people's screen time has not decreased. "Usage is shifting to school laptops," says Professor Lieven De Marez, "and we don't know what students are doing on them." Flemish Minister of Education Zuhal Demir (N-VA) therefore wants to launch pilot projects in a number of schools to teach students how to better handle their smartphones and laptops.
