Delhi Building Collapses in Satya Niketan, Several Feared Trapped
A five-story building collapsed in Satya Niketan, South West Delhi, around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, trapping several people under the debris.
Rescue operations involve the Delhi Fire Service, police, NDRF, and local volunteers, with at least two to four people rescued and dozens believed to be trapped.
The collapse occurred during construction work amid heavy rain, raising concerns about building safety and maintenance.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that rescue efforts are ongoing, the adjacent building was vacated as a precaution, and an inquiry committee was formed to investigate the cause.
