Dear Veterinarian Letter: Nitrofurantoin
Regulatory bodies sometimes issue “Dr. Veterinarian” (or similar) notices about important issues pertaining to drugs. A recent one was the FDA’s letter about extralabel use of fenbendazole in dogs. They’re meant to get important information out to vets, to prevent future problems. My topic of the day doesn’t deal with a drug, per se, but it’s an important issue that’s outside of any regulatory component so I’m issuing my own ‘Dear Vet’ letter….…
