The German benchmark index, the DAX, headed for a record high on Wednesday. Investors were particularly keen on buying shares of DAX heavyweights Infineon, Brenntag, RWE, and Bayer. New York stock exchanges posted gains, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average reaching a record high.
The European stock exchanges closed with widespread profits driven by a strong batch of business performance and positive macroeconomic data. German DAX advanced 1.22% with RWE shooting more than 9%, while CAC 40 and Euro Stoxx 50 also closed in green.
Another Leif: Communicator Leif Erichsen has been Head of External Communications at Thyssenkrupp since the beginning of the month.
