David Goss: Many celebratory days have disappeared, but Groundhog Day endures

Though almost every day on the 2026 calendar is devoted to one cause or another, it is amazing to note that a number of celebratory days of yesteryear have disappeared. For example, most people no longer celebrate Little Christmas on Jan. 6, or Candlemas Day on Feb. 2.
