Raichur police have busted a huge bike theft ring. Bike mechanic Imran and his accomplice Akash, who were stealing bikes from malls and selling them after erasing the engine/chassis numbers, have been arrested. 18 bikes were found based on a complaint and vehicles worth Rs 17.3 lakh were seized. The thieves were selling the bikes after erasing their identification. This is a major success for the safety of the city.
