Forensic Science Faces an Identity Crisis

To avoid bias, should scientists direct evidence collection from a crime scene? Or should they stay removed from it?

Czech scientists and criminologists have invented a new method that makes it easier and more accurate to determine what kind of water a person drowned in. The method will confirm or deny whether the person actually died where their body was found, or whether someone manipulated their body to, for example, cover up a crime or the original place of death.
